About this policy

This policy explains how Another Grownup (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Another Grownup app on iPhone or iPad, visit anothergrownup.com, or contact us for support.

Product analytics with PostHog

The app sends limited usage events to PostHog for product analytics. These events cover app launches, which tools are used, free-action status, paywall interactions, and purchase or restore outcomes. We use this information to understand how the app and its purchase flow are working and to decide what to improve.

These events include an automatically generated identifier and technical app and device information. We do not supply PostHog with your name, email address, or the content you enter into the tools, and we do not connect its identifier to a named account. The app does not make screen recordings or use session replays. We use PostHog for product analytics, not to target advertising. PostHog explains how it handles information in its privacy policy.

Purchases and RevenueCat

When you make or restore the one-time in-app purchase, RevenueCat processes purchase history, related receipt and entitlement information, and a generated app user identifier. We use RevenueCat for product analytics, receipt validation, entitlement access, fraud prevention, and purchase restoration. RevenueCat also helps us measure Apple Ads results as described below. We do not supply it with your name or email address. RevenueCat explains its practices in its privacy policy.

Apple displays and processes the purchase through the App Store. The developer does not receive your payment card or bank-account details.

Apple Ads measurement

The app sends an Apple AdServices attribution token to RevenueCat. RevenueCat uses that token to request information from Apple about whether an installation came from an Apple Ads campaign. Depending on what Apple returns, this can include campaign, ad group, or keyword information. RevenueCat associates attribution information with its app user and purchase records so we can understand which campaigns lead to installations and purchases.

This integration uses Apple's Standard attribution data. It does not collect Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) or request App Tracking Transparency permission. Apple describes its practices in its privacy policy.

Meta advertising measurement

We use Meta's software development kit (SDK) to measure how our Facebook and Instagram advertising leads to installations and purchases of Another Grownup. The SDK processes first app activation, app launches, purchase events, technical app and device information, and an SDK-generated device identifier. Purchase events can include the product, price, and currency. An installation is measured when the app is first opened.

We disable collection of Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) and configure Meta's event data use for analytics and conversion measurement. We do not provide Meta with your email address, phone number, the identifiers used by PostHog or RevenueCat, or the content you enter into the app's tools. The app does not use Facebook Login or request App Tracking Transparency permission.

We also enable Apple's SKAdNetwork for privacy-preserving campaign reporting. Those reports are aggregate; the app events and technical data sent to Meta are separate and are not limited to aggregate reports. Disabling IDFA does not stop that event data from being sent. Meta describes its handling of information in its privacy policy.

Information stored on your device

Your choices and preferences may be saved locally on your device so the app works the way you expect. That locally stored information is not available to us. You can remove it by deleting the app from your device. Deleting the app does not automatically delete information already received by our service providers.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app may schedule a local notification for a timer or countdown. These notifications are created and handled on your device. You can change notification permission at any time in your device settings.

Website information

If you joined our launch list before the app became available, we collected your email address to send the launch message and any product updates you asked for. If you ask to hear when the Android version is available, we collect your email address, mark that request on the same list, and use it to send a confirmation message and the Android launch notice. EmailOctopus processes addresses to manage the list and deliver those messages. You can unsubscribe through any email or ask us to delete your address. We do not sell addresses or use them for targeted advertising. EmailOctopus explains its practices in its privacy policy.

If you choose “Allow analytics,” this website uses Google Analytics to help us understand how people find and use it. Google Analytics may collect pages visited, session statistics, approximate location, referring pages, and browser and device information. It uses first-party cookies, including _ga and measurement-specific_ga_... cookies, to distinguish users and sessions. We do not send Google your name, email address, or app activity.

The Google Analytics tag stays off and sends no analytics data unless you allow it. We save your choice in your browser so we can remember it. You can change that choice at any time using “Analytics settings” in the footer. Google's handling of Analytics information is described in its data safeguards andprivacy policy.

Like most websites, our hosting and security providers may also process basic technical information—such as an IP address, browser type, and request details—to deliver, operate, and protect the site.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to respond, provide support, protect our rights, or comply with the law. We keep support messages only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes. You may ask us to delete a support message by emailing us.

Children's privacy

Another Grownup is made for parents and caregivers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect names, contact details, or other information that identifies children. The app events we send to the services described above do not include age or user-entered tool content. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through the website or a support message, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Service providers and how data is used

PostHog provides app product analytics, and RevenueCat provides purchase analytics, receipt validation, entitlement access, fraud prevention, purchase restoration, and Apple Ads attribution. Meta receives app events and technical information for advertising measurement. EmailOctopus manages records from the former launch list, Android launch requests, and related email delivery. Google provides website analytics only after you allow it. Hosting and security providers process technical requests as needed to deliver and protect the website.

We use app event, purchase, and attribution information to measure our advertising as described above. The app has no named accounts, but generated identifiers can associate events or purchases with an app installation or device. Information may also be processed or disclosed when reasonably necessary to provide the app and website, protect our rights, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.

Your choices

You can remove locally stored app information by deleting the app, turn off notifications in your device settings, and ask us to delete information you sent in a support email. Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because the app does not require a named account, we may be unable to locate analytics, purchase, or attribution records using your name or email address alone. Email-list subscribers can unsubscribe through any email or ask us to delete their address. You can also allow or decline Google Analytics—or change an earlier choice—using “Analytics settings” in the website footer. This website choice controls Google Analytics on the website; it does not change the app's analytics or advertising measurement.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the app, website, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. If a change materially affects how the app handles information, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
